Today we were out with a light crowd and it was a gorgeous day to be out too. We had hard current all day as we are coming off the moon but the BIG Porgies decided to show up for us.
We have been catching a mix of fish but mainly Porgies of mixed size and some nice size Seabass that we have to throw back. Our pool winner today was Joe Lott from Minehill, NJ with a decent size Porgy.
Jongkyu Park from Princeton, NJ was our pool winner today and was high hook with 3 keepers. The weather looks good for tomorrow for both trips and the winds are gonna lay down.
We were the only 3 4 day boat to sail today out of Atlantic. We had a tough start with hard Northeast winds but we managed to pluck a few keepers in the morning.
We had a good day with some nice big flukes coming up including our 8lb. The big fish are stacked up in the channels and getting ready to head offshore so come down and get in on this action before the season ends.
The wind was blowing hard out of the East today which kept us out of the ocean and in our own bay today. The winds are supposed to lay down a bit for tomorrow and change directions so conditions should be a bit better for tomorrow.
We had good short action with some nice quality keepers. Al Ambrose from Linden, NJ and Al Ceres from South Amboy, NJ tied for the pool today with a pair of nice 5.
Well today was certainly not the best fishing nor the best conditions for fishing with a big ground swell and hard southerly wind which combined kept us from fishing a few areas that we wanted to fish. We did however manage to find some action after trying a few different areas during the day.
